T-DOSE 6th edition

The 6th edition of T-DOSE (Technical Dutch Open Source Event) was a success. The keynote by Simon Phipps drew an analogy between business practices and social interaction throughout the ages. A number of tracks (including the keynote) have been recorded by CityTV and can be viewed here.

Workshops Arduino (Saturday/Sunday 10:00-17:00)

So you've been playing with your Arduino, maybe connecting some LEDs and sensors and wondering where to go next? Hackable Devices offers the possibility to get to know your Arduino just a little bit better. Using the Liquid Crystal library we'll help you to connect a standard 16-pin LCD screen to your Arduino and to program fun stuff on it.

Fontys Open Dag at 5th November in Eindhoven

At Saturday 5th November during the fist day of T-DOSE the Fontys University of Applied science has his Open Day. These days are focused at potential students.

Potential students walk through all buildings and visit all departments. Various setups are on display for all parts of an education track, think of languages (English, German, French, Dutch), mathematics, science (physics, computers, chemistry), geography, biology or finance.

CFP deadline extended till 30 September

The CFP deadline has passed on 31st August 2011 and numerous high quality talks have been submitted and selected. I would like to thank all submitters for their contribution. The organisation started constructing the schedule and sees room for more talks. So open source projects and developers it is not to late to send in abstracts.

The CFP deadline has been extended till end of september
